BoardingArea has officially launched its new app for iOS and Android! This new addition to our toolkit has several goals in mind:
Grow the overall audience of BoardingArea
Maintain our leadership in travel content
Increase daily readership of BoardingArea and all of our blogs
Expand awareness of BoardingArea through new channels
Generate additional monetization and ad revenue
Diversify our content distribution to avoid the impact of algorithm changes and build direct relationships with our readers.
One of the key objectives of the new app is to expand the reach and awareness of BoardingArea through new channels. To that end, we believe that leveraging the power of both Apple and Google is crucial to reaching new readers and growing our audience. And, unlike our competitors, we have an app for both iOS and Android, with a dark mode option, to give our readers the best possible experience.
The development of this new app was a massive undertaking, and our team worked tirelessly to make it a reality. From the first conference call to the final delivery, it took us just six weeks to bring this new tool to life. And, while we could have launched the app in mid-December 2022, we chose to wait until after the busy holiday season had died down, so that we could launch with maximum impact.
One of the things that sets our app apart is the number of custom endpoints and other technologies that we've built into it. This allows readers to read full articles within the app, save articles to read later, and much more. And, as of January 2023, 77% of all BoardingArea readers access the site through their mobile devices, making our new app an essential part of your blogs' future.
